anneli's story
Since I could hold a crayon, I've been creating art. If you met me then, I would've told you I would be an artist when I grew up with no hesitation. I spent most of age 12 painting and learning to hand-letter. What started as a homeschool hobby turned into a full-time job in high school and now my purpose and joy.
how it went down
After teaching myself how to hand-letter, I began selling greeting cards to ladies at my church and taking custom requests. I saved up enough money to buy an iPad, and the rest is history.
I sold my artwork on cards, stickers, and T-shirts all over the country for 5 years through Instagram DMs.
In 2020, I launched my first online store (Anneli White Designs) where my business quadrupled, and it changed everything!
Pop up shops and markets were my bread and butter. I spent my high school years traveling most weekends, selling my art.
For six summers, I hosted Craft Camp—a five-day camp for elementary girls to grow artistically, relationally, and spiritually.
Throughout college, I scaled back my online store but expanded my commission work (my introduction to weddings)! I used my design expertise to raise $50K in merch sales for pediatric cancer. I learned a whole lot about graphic design and running a business.
Oh, and I learned to paint a horse upside down in 90 seconds.
today
My online store is back and better than ever with semi and fully custom offerings, wedding stationery, and original artwork. It's been a joy to slowly reopen, begin working with my incredible clients again, and step into God's calling on my life. I'm grateful you're here. You are the only way and "why" I do this!
meet anneli
Hi! I'm Anneli Sorrell (pronounced anna-lee soar-elle). I grew up creating art, loving Jesus, competing in the Miss America Org., and playing board games with my family of six. I married the love of my life on a sunshiny day last July and haven't stopped smiling since. I was raised in Shelbyville, KY, and settled in Lexington after graduating from the University of Kentucky with degrees in Marketing and Integrated Strategic Communications (TLDR: creative comm). I'm a huge fan of Instagram reels, elaborate home-cooked dinners, iced chai, and girls nights. If you've made it this far, THANK YOU for being here and supporting this dream I've held onto.
